Meat contains vitamins that are involved in the body’s metabolic processes. They regulate the thyroid gland, blood pressure and other body functions. However, in recent years, doctors have increasingly noted the moderate consumption of meat (no more than 2-3 times per week, in small portions) and only lean meat.

Fish is a great source of protein. One fish can contain up to 20 grams of protein per 100 grams of fish. It contains many vitamins – A, E, groups B, D, they are needed for normal functioning of the body. Fish contains nutrients necessary for growth and calcium, which plays a major role in the formation of bones and teeth.

Doctors often recommend fish for better heart function and as part of a balanced diet for  various medical conditions.
